In Kelly Boyer Sagert's latest play, she tells the story of Frances Ellen Watkins Harper, a poet, abolitionist, essayist, public speaker, journalist, suffragist and published fiction writer. This extraordinary person of color was born in 1825 in the United States while much of her race was enslaved, and she lived part of her life right here in Ohio. "Bound Together: One Great Bundle of Humanity" looks at her life, revealed when she and Hannah, a fictional white nurse with a history of her own, get snowed in.
