Three men close to the victim are questioned. All of them claim to love her. All of them say they are innocent of her murder. As crime reporter Harper McClain unravels a tangled story of obsession and jealousy, the killer focuses on her.

Tuesday, July 13; 1 to 2 p.m. - "The Cold Vanish" by Jon Billman

Through Jacob Gray's disappearance in Olympic National Park and his father Randy Gray who left his life to search for him, we will learn about what happens when someone goes missing. Braided around the core will be the stories of the characters who fill the vacuum created by a vanished human being.

Tuesday, Aug. 10; 1 to 2 p.m. - "The Deserter" by Nelson DeMille & Alex DeMille

This outstanding thriller from bestseller DeMille (The Cuban Affair) and his screenwriter son centers on a search for an Army deserter who has fled to Venezuela after escaping duty in Afghanistan under strange circumstances. On the hunt for Delta Force Capt.

So, we decided to give it a try. I had my original outline for The Deserter—based very loosely on the Bowe Bergdahl desertion in Afghanistan and Bergdahl's capture and imprisonment by the Taliban—and I sent this to Alex along with my research notes.
