When Did Food Stop Being Food?

What are the ingredients in strawberry yogurt? Hint: not just “strawberries” and “yogurt.” What about apple juice? Hint: way more than just “apples.” If we look at the ingredient list of our staple food, we may be astonished to find items that we cannot identify, pronounce, or understand the purpose. In this presentation, Dr. Gupta examines the myriad of preservatives, colorings, and flavorings that we are inadvertently consuming, and their potential effects on our health. Preregistration required.
