Friends of the Avon Library

Who are the Friends?
The Friends of the Avon Library is a nonprofit organization of area residents.

What do Friends do?
The purpose of the Friends group is to maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries; to focus public attention on library services, facilities and needs of the Avon Branch; and to assist in raising funds for needs beyond the library's budget.

Avon Friends provide financial and volunteer help in sponsoring programs and activities within the library. This is accomplished through a wide variety of activities such as three book sales throughout the year, art shows for both youth and adult local artists and supporting library open houses, parties and other events throughout the year.
