The Underground Railroad - The Lorain County Connection

Lorain, formerly known as Charleston, was also known as Station 100 on the Underground Railroad that led from southern Ohio to the shores of Lake Erie. Oberlin may be better known as a hotbed of abolitionist activity in the years before the Civil War, but Oberlin was not the only location in Lorain County that had residents who aided escaping slaves. Come to this local history program to view photos and hear about the Lorain County connection to the Underground Railroad. Preregistration required. Preregistration required.
