Learn To Create Your Own Book - How-To Month
Digital cameras have helped us all to be better photographers, but don’t just leave all those great photos on the hard drive of your computer. Becky Hill, head librarian of the Rutherford B. Hayes Presidential Center, is the instructor for this program that shows you how to easily and economically create a personalized book with your images. The class will teach you how to use online resources to self-publish a professional quality book in any quantity. Hill will explain the process of making a personalized book using Blurb.com. She emphasizes that through this website, you can create a published book, as well as a book that is stored online. Blurb.com permits its free software to be downloaded to a personal computer. When complete, the book then can be uploaded back to Blurb.com for printing of hard copies. The look of the finished product is as limitless as the creator’s imagination. Hill was inspired to create her first book after her first grandchild was born. She now creates a personalized storybook for her grandchildren every Christmas. She also helped her 90-year-old mother produce an autobiography. Preregistration required.
