The Friends of the Columbia Library, Inc.

The Friends of the Columbia Library, Inc. is a non-profit organization of area residents. The organization's purpose is to maintain an association of persons interested in books and libraries; to support the mission and goals of the Lorain Public Library System as determined by the Lorain Public Library System's Board of Trustees; to focus public attention on library services, facilities, and needs of the Lorain Public Library System; and to raise funds and influence the gifts of books, magazines, desirable collections, endowments, scholarships and bequests to the Library through ways approved by the Trustees.

Meetings are held at the Columbia Branch at 6:00pm.

The group is led by a president, vice-president, secretary and treasurer, who are elected by the voting members of the Friends group.

Columbia Branch Book Sales

Friends volunteer to help with the three book sales (April, July and October) held at the Columbia Branch each year as well as with other fundraising events.
