South Lorain Branch Events
Chalk Walk And Water Balloons
Chalk artists of all ages please come join us for our fourth annual Chalk Walk. Hang out with your community and help us cover our sidewalks with cosmic, space-themed chalk drawings. Then cool off with some delicious ice cream.
Ice cream will be served at 6:30 before a puppet show by Lorain native Dr. Raquel M. Ortiz, based on her bilingual children’s picture book "Sofi and the Magic, Musical Mural". Join Sofi on a magical adventure exploring art, imagination, and Puerto Rican cultural traditions.
Please pre-register so we can get enough ice cream.
After we chalk the walk we will celebrate one of the best things of summer - water balloons! Water balloons will immediately follow the chalk walk. Swimwear and a towel are recommended. Chalk walk and puppet show are a rain or shine event. In the case of rain water balloons will run July 22 at 6pm.
