Indie Author Day - Meet Local Authors

Join us for the first annual Indie Author Day event.  Come meet local authors, hear about their books and have a chance to purchase books.  During the inaugural Indie Author Day on Oct. 8, 2016, libraries from all across North America will host their own local author events with the support of the Indie Author Day team.

In addition to these local programs, each library’s indie community will come together for an hourlong digital gathering at 2 p.m. to view a live panel discussion streaming over YouTube.  That discussion will feature Q-and-A with writers, agents and other industry leaders.  At 3 p.m. a panel of local authors (Wayne Stewart, John Keyse-Walker, Frans Jager and Laura Peskin) will share their publishing experiences.

Are you an independent author?  Do you want to be part of Indie Author Day?  If so, contact Mrs. Valerie Smith at the Main Library to get involved. Preregistration required.
