Giving Tuesday

Released On: 11/21/2019

We all know the feverish scramble around Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday but we at the Lorain Public Library System would like you to keep us in mind for another very important day that week – Giving Tuesday.

Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, this Dec. 3, Giving Tuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many are focused on their holiday and end-of-year giving.

One of the best ways to get involved is in your own community, your public library, your LPLS.

You can volunteer – join one of our five distinct and local Friends of the Library groups in Lorain, Avon, Columbia, North Ridgeville or Sheffield Lake to make a difference with your time.

You can donate – make a gift to the library that puts more books in hands and helps us reach underserved parts of the community.

You can make your voice heard – follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram at @LorainPLSystem and use the hashtag #GivingTuesday to show us, and all your friends, how you supported LPLS this year!

Help us thrive by donating at LorainPublicLibrary.org/donate.
