Discover Avon Through Traveling Story Times Presented By Our Avon Branch!
The library is celebrating the city of Avon’s bicentennial. Mark this important milestone by visiting special places throughout the city!
These Read Around Avon story times are Fridays at 1 p.m. from June 20 through Aug. 1 (except July 4).
The program kicks off at the Avon Branch Library on June 20.
Children can pick up a Read Around Avon passport anytime at the library or at any Read Around Avon story time. On the passport, there are spaces for kids to fill in the secret word they learn at each location. After attending at least three locations, they can bring their passport to the library to claim a small prize.
“Read Around Avon is a chance for families to enjoy story time while visiting different locations around Avon,” said Donna Kelly, Avon Branch librarian supervisor. “We’re excited that our story times will highlight various places. People may end up visiting a place they’ve never been before.”
Each story time will have a special theme that goes along with the location where the story time is being held.
