Columbia Branch To Reopen June 2

5/28/2014 -- Lorain Public Library System’s Columbia Branch is scheduled to reopen Monday, June 2 for its normal hours of operation, from noon to 8 p.m.

Columbia Branch was closed in mid-May after undergoing flooding damage from a severe thunderstorm.

Restoration work began immediately and crews continue to work at the library.

We’re happy to report that no library materials were damaged in the flood.

Because it is our priority to maintain library service, we are working to get the library reopened as soon as possible.

Please be aware that on Monday the branch will not be reopening to the same aesthetic feel as before the flood.

While the Columbia Branch is closed, library materials may be dropped off at the book drop.

Holds for pickup at the Columbia Branch are temporarily suspended but will be made available once the branch reopens.

We thank you for your patience and cooperation during this time.
