Lou Suarez received his B.S., Education, from Kent State University in 1973 and his M.A., English, from Kent State University in 1975. He did additional graduate work at the Ohio State University. Suarez is currently a Professor in the Arts and Humanities Division of Lorain County Community College.

Suarez’s collection of poetry, Losses of Moment, was published by Kent State University Press in 1995 as part of their Wick Poetry Chapbook Series. In 2002, his second collection of poetry, The Grape Painter, was published by Frost Heaves Press.  His third collection of poetry, Ask: Poems, was published by Mid-List Press, in 2004.
