Give To A Worthy Cause!

Funds raised by The Foundation are used to further the educational objectives of the community, support capital projects and sponsor special services such as literacy tutoring and reading programs.

The Lorain Public Library System’s funding is unique in the state. Most county-wide library systems are funded by county-wide levies. Lorain Public Library System is not part of a county library system. Our Library System is funded by levies in each community where a Library is located.

Lorain Public Library System is committed to spending levy dollars only in the community where they are collected. Therefore, funding for system-wide programs must come from state funds and private donations.

As state funds have been slashed, the need for private donations has never been greater.
