A Natural History of Dragons: A Memoir By Lady Trent by Marie Brennan (Adult Fiction)
This "memoir" is a fantastic work of fiction told from the point of view of Lady Isabella Trent, an elderly, quirky, quick-witted and snarky dragon expert. The story starts when Lady Trent is seven and follows through her origin of interest in dragons and the growing fascination of the species through her many adventures in discovering all there is to know about dragons. Unlike many non-fiction memoirs, this story is written in a style that is far from dry. It is an exciting and well-written history. I couldn't put it down and I highly recommend this book for anyone that loves fantasy and adventure stories.
